Online ticket sales for the 50th Annual BIA Melbourne Boat Show have gone live for the 2010 show, with discounted prices and a special two-day pass for online buyers.

Brand new this year and available only online is a two-day pass for just $25, as well as discounted tickets of $15 for adults and $10 for concession – a $2 saving over the normal prices. 

To buy online visit www.melbourneboatshow.com.au and follow the simple ticketing process, then just present the print-out at the door for a quick entry with no lining up to buy a ticket. 

BIA Melbourne Boat Show runs from 2 to 6 July at The Melbourne Exhibition Centre and features hundreds of beautiful boats plus all the latest boating and fishing gear. Opening hours are 10am to 9pm daily except Sunday, when it closes at 7pm, and Monday when it closes at 8pm. 

Special attractions include Flathead Fred’s Fun Fishin’ Show for Kids, Lulu Kids’ Activities, the Anaconda Pinnacle Climbing Wall and brand new to the show the Giant Titanic slide. 

The Australian Volunteer Coast Guard will run boat license training and testing sessions at 10.30am and 3pm daily, and everyone who buys a new boat at the show receives a free boat handling course.

What is Sunken Assets?

A full day  of presentations exploring Victoria's magnificent maritime heritage and discovering links to our sea-faring past, brought to you by the SCUBA Divers Federation of Victoria, Heritage Victoria, the Heritage Council of Victoria, the Maritime Archaeology Association of Victoria, RMIT Underwater Club and the Dive Industry of Victoria Association.

Sunken Assets 2007 Seminar will be held at RMIT Storey Hall in Swanston Street, Melbourne, and celebrates the 25th anniversary of Victoria’s Historic Shipwrecks Act – the State's first legal protection for historic shipwrecks.  The Minister for Planning, the Hon Justin Madden MLC, will be presenting Shipwreck Finders Awards to several people involved in shipwreck discoveries over the past 10 years. There will also be a facilitated open forum where a wrap up of the City of Launceston Public Access Trial will be provided. The day is proudly supported by the Heritage Council of Victoria and hosted by RMIT Underwater Club.
